Dr Caralei (Carrey) has always admired the healing powers of nature. This, in combination with her passion for the health sciences, naturally drew her to Naturopathic Medicine.

Dr Carrey graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2004, after studying Biomedical Science and Nutrition at the University of Guelph (1998) and earning her Master of Science in Physiology from the University of Western Ontario (2000). Her thesis was published in the scientific journals Anesthesiology and Brain Research.

Dr Carrey continually integrates scientific and natural medicine when treating patients. She has written peer-reviewed articles on evidence-based complementary & alternative medicine. She enjoys teaching patients how the body works (ie, physiology), sharing her passion on the healing powers of natural medicine and empowering patients to improve their health and lifestyle.

Dr Carrey has a family practice with emphasis on children and women’s health, fertility, pre- and postnatal care, skin health, diet, detoxification and cancer care. Dr Carrey also uses Acupuncture and Bowen therapy (, and is a Naturopathic Doula and certified Intravenous (IV) Therapist.

In her spare time Dr Carrey enjoys long, meditative runs, learning Welsh, as well as spending time with her husband and their daughters exploring the great outdoors, hiking, canoeing and camping.

Carrey is an active member of both the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Doctors, and licensed with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.
